15+
Years of surgical practice
Arthroscopy
Camera-assisted surgery of the shoulder (rotator cuff repair, stabilization), elbow and wrist, and endoscopic carpal tunnel release.
Sports surgery
Shoulder dislocation and instability (arthroscopic stabilization, Latarjet procedure), rotator cuff tendinopathy, and elbow, wrist and hand injuries in athletes.
Upper limb microsurgery
Microsurgery of the hand and peripheral nerves, complex hand wounds, tendon repair and finger replantation.
Prosthetic Surgery
Anatomical and reverse shoulder replacement, elbow replacement, and minimally invasive, bone-sparing thumb prosthesis for basal joint arthritis (rhizarthrosis).
Hand and shoulder surgeon since 2010
I am an orthopedic surgeon dedicated to the upper limb (hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder) and a microsurgeon. After my training in France, I completed a fellowship at Columbia University / NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York. I have been operating for more than 15 years at Clinique Jouvenet (Paris 16th) and Hôpital Privé Claude Galien (Quincy-sous-Sénart).
Minimally invasive and ultra-minimally invasive surgery
For carpal tunnel release, I perform all three techniques: open surgery, endoscopic release (my preferred technique) and ultra-minimally invasive ultrasound-guided release. The best technique is chosen for each patient. Every procedure is performed in a fully equipped operating room, never in an office setting.
Arthroscopy
Camera-assisted surgery of the shoulder, elbow and wrist through small incisions: rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization, removal of loose bodies from the elbow, wrist arthroscopy. Smaller incisions mean less pain and a faster recovery.
Complex shoulder surgery under regional anesthesia
Shoulder replacement (anatomical and reverse), rotator cuff repair and bone-block stabilization (Latarjet procedure) are performed under regional anesthesia (nerve block). This provides excellent pain control after surgery and a quicker return home.
WALANT: wide-awake hand surgery
WALANT (Wide-Awake Local Anesthesia No Tourniquet) allows many hand procedures, such as carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release or tendon surgery, to be performed under local anesthesia only, without a tourniquet and without general anesthesia. You stay awake and comfortable, can move your fingers during surgery and go home quickly. The type of anesthesia (local, WALANT or regional) is chosen for each patient.
Dupuytren's disease and thumb arthritis
For Dupuytren's contracture: percutaneous needle aponeurotomy, surgical fasciectomy and revision surgery with skin grafting when needed. For thumb basal joint arthritis, conservative treatment comes first; when surgery is required, I perform trapeziectomy with ligament reconstruction or a minimally invasive, bone-sparing thumb prosthesis.

Frequently asked questions
Do you see patients in English?
Yes. Consultations are held in English at Clinique Jouvenet in Paris 16th and at Hôpital Privé Claude Galien in Quincy-sous-Sénart.
How do I book an appointment?
Online through Doctolib, by phone (+33 1 42 15 42 31 for Paris, +33 1 69 39 96 97 for Quincy) or with the contact form on this page.
Can I send my medical imaging before the appointment?
Yes. You can attach your reports and imaging (X-rays, ultrasound, MRI, EMG) to the contact form. This first opinion does not replace a consultation.
What is WALANT surgery?
WALANT stands for Wide-Awake Local Anesthesia No Tourniquet. Many hand procedures, such as carpal tunnel or trigger finger release, can be performed under local anesthesia only, without a tourniquet and without general anesthesia. You stay awake and comfortable and go home quickly.
Is carpal tunnel surgery minimally invasive?
Dr Kilinc performs three techniques: open surgery, endoscopic release (his preferred technique) and ultra-minimally invasive ultrasound-guided release. The technique is chosen for each patient, and surgery is always performed in an operating room.
Can shoulder surgery be performed without general anesthesia?
Yes. Complex shoulder surgery, including shoulder replacement, rotator cuff repair and the Latarjet procedure, is performed under regional anesthesia (nerve block), which provides excellent pain control after surgery.
Where is surgery performed?
At Clinique Jouvenet, 6 square Jouvenet, 75016 Paris (Ramsay Santé), and at Hôpital Privé Claude Galien in Quincy-sous-Sénart, most often as day surgery.
